Down but not out
Well I am still down but not out. I am rehabbing the foot and still have stiffness and pain in the morning and evening. I hope rehab helps. I am running the marathon no matter what!

WAITING
OK, nothing worse than making a Marine wait. I now have to go on Tuesday for the MRI. It was postponed, so I will find out a little later than I thought. Will update.
I miss running, Today is a wonderful evening and all I can do is think of running in the nice weather. I never thought that I would like to run or miss running. Somehow I have transformed into a person that looks forward to the future and what I can do and not what I should do. I cannot wait to heal and run again!

BAD NEWS
Ok, I have sustained an injury. I had a doctors visit and she is sending me to an orthopedic surgeon. Maybe a rip or tear in the achilles tendon. We will see tommorrow!

Feeling a little pain

Well, I have not run in a few days and I am feeling a little tightness in the back of my right knee. Feels like a ligament might be a little over worked. I am going to have to make up my running because this week I am working long days and have minimum time to run. We shall see what happens this week.

I'm Baaaaaaaccccckkkkk!!!!!!!
I am so excited for the 10k on Feb 26. My first race and cannot wait. I know I have not been here in a while but I have still have been running. I met two people that are running in the 10k and will train with me for my marathon. Life is good! I am looking forward to this new lifestyle.

Adding mileage
Great run and had a lot left in the tank. I am soooooo glad that I bought the insulated compression pants! Mileage up, almost the same pace, looking good for the 10k in a few weeks!

Picking up where I left off
Ok, it has been almost a week since I last ran. I had a tooth extraced and took some time off. Today, I ran 4 miles and was able to keep my pace at sub 12 minute miles. I feel greast knowing thatI can keep this pace. I have been doing research on dietary restrictions and types of derink to have before,during, and after the runs and I still have not decided on a certain brand or to continue to mix my own. I cannot wait to push up the mileage this week in preperation for the ConocoPhillips Rodeo Run 10K on Feb. 26.

Bad Week
Ok, this week I had so manyintentions to run on 4 days and well, I did not. I have been carpooling to work with a coworker an have not brought my clothes to run while at work. I have been getting home late and not to mention it is cold. I know these are excuses and I will make up for this and of course have to suffer for this in the form of the lactic acid after my next run.

OH MY! I was reading the newsletter at work and deciced to join the Halliburton running team for the 10k event on February 26. I should be able to meet this goal on the current training schedule. I am excited to run in this event. I hope the family is at the finish line for me when I get there.
Jan. 4
Well it is the new year and I am back on schedule for training for the MCM in October. I did 3.5 miles and feel great. I overdressed fo r today's run and might not wear the long sleeve shirt if it gets above 60 degrees. I am looking into running events around the city for me to partake in to help me to train and network. I will have more to come.
